Artist, author, and educator -- the triad of Jayme's creative life.

 

Her art is expressive and inviting. Whimsy,  boldness , and beauty are signature elements. Whether a peaceful landscape, a quirky animal or vibrant floral, her loose brushwork and display of color are adventurous and intuitive.

 

Jayme's education and experience are diverse, supporting her passion for the arts. From a Journalism/Advertising degree and career to a Masters Degree in Education and Creative Arts, and teaching a combination of language arts and visual arts for over twenty years, Jayme shares her expertise by melding art and writing.

 

In addition, she has owned and instructed visual art at her studio, fondly named Piggy Toes, for twenty-four years and counting. Her award-winning novels, Chasing the Butterfly and RUSH, are celebrated for their vivid descriptions and memorable characters. When not at her writing desk or easel, she rubs the bellies of two very friendly Golden Retrievers.
